In the name of Allah, the beneficent and the merciful.

All praise be to Allah, the lord of the world, the master of the day after, the creator of everything in the universe.

Peace and salutation be upon the great messenger Muhammad Saw. and his household, his companions, and his faithful followers who strive Allah’s religion, Islam.

Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Ladies and gentleman

28^th October is the oath youth day, every year we celebrate it. Therefore, in this good occasion I will desire to preach on the title.

THE YOUTH RESPONSIBILITY

When we talk about youngsters, we often find many articles and we our self even witness the great role of youth participation in developing, favoring, and supporting the development in the nation. We are the hope of nation who will carry out the strangle for the sake of brighter future of the country. Similarly we are at the same time, the hope of Islamic religion who will strive for the sake of Islamic teaching in the next, maintain the Islamic law, who will safeguard the Muslim generation at large from influence of destructive western style life, who will be leader for the next. It was yelled as :

“TODAY IS YOUNG, TOMORROW WILL BE LEADER”

This statement encourage us to pay attention to the young existence in the future by knowing all the facts we realize, now important role the young have for the future. The youth supposedly symbolize the forces that never became weak quickly. For this reason, the former president of Indonesia Sukarno has once said, “Give me ten youth and I would shake the world”. From this statement we can sum up the Sukarno appreciated the young people more than the old. Why? Do you know the reason? Because they play significant roles, have great potency and great energy that can be prided.

Ladies and gentleman

We pay attention to many young people who are not aware of their education and will be more sad if we see Muslim brothers in our country behave badly and they intentionally avoiding Islamic teaching to follow western culture. We cannot imagine and describe what is going to happen in the next time if all the young people are careless in this responsibility. We have to be aware that the responsibility of nation developing and religion establishing depend on us. By those consideration we should be very caution with any destructive western culture that would enter Islamic teaching.

Ladies and gentleman

Last, I should like to call you to prepare our generation in order to be able to replace the old in the future. And I hope you where so ever you are to abstain from bad action and furthermore we have to develop our skill and potency to reach the bright future.

I think it’s time for me finish this speech begging your pardon, finally I say…
